We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our high-performance team in the Accounting + Finance industry. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring all tax-related functions within the company, including tax planning, federal and state tax, S Corp, tax returns, high net worth, corporations, tax accounting, and income tax. With a focus on strategic planning and proactive engagement, the Tax Manager will play a pivotal role in navigating the complex world of tax regulations and ensuring the company's compliance with all tax laws.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the company's tax planning strategy to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to tax laws.
- Provide expert guidance on tax matters related to high net worth individuals and corporations.
- Manage the tax aspects of S Corp, including tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
- Conduct detailed analysis of tax accounting data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement effective strategies for income tax planning and compliance.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure the successful completion of tax audits.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and provide updates and advice to the management team.
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or a CPA certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax management role, preferably within the Accounting + Finance industry.
- Extensive knowledge of tax planning, federal and state tax, S Corp, tax returns, high net worth, corporations, tax accounting, and income tax.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a successful team.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of management.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Up to date with the latest developments in tax laws and regulations.
- Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
